International Business Sales Intern (mountain view)

About SimulTrans
SimulTrans is a leading player in the rapidly growing translation and localization market ("localization" is the service of translating software and manuals into many languages). We help companies succeed internationally by producing multilingual products for them. SimulTrans is a financially sound company that was established in 1984 in Silicon Valley (California, USA). The company's culture is entrepreneurial, fast-paced, friendly and ambitious - perfect for a person who wishes, and is able, to learn and accomplish a great deal quickly.
About the Opportunity
SimulTrans seeks highly motivated and capable individuals who can develop substantial relationships with executives of Fortune 1000 companies. In this regard, we offer a number of internship openings that would start within the next 2-6 weeks and last through the winter. • Exceptional telephone skills (cold calling or inside sales experience a plus)
  • Advanced knowledge of software such as Microsoft Word and Excel, Lotus Notes (training provided), and Internet research applications
  • A self-starting, charismatic and industrious attitude
  • Localization Sales experience (helpful but not required)
  • Work as part of a dynamic sales and telemarketing team
  • Research and identify promising international companies
  • Initiate relationships with executives, either by speaking or writing
  • Produce pricing spreadsheets and proposals

  • Undertake a project during your internship of mutual interest to you and the company
  • Be willing to undertake almost any task, small or large, as requested by your supervisors
This is considered an unpaid internship. If you wish to receive academic credit for the internship, it will be your responsibility to make arrangements with your school.
Additional Information
We believe that this internship opportunity is special because you will get good training, learn a lot, and have a high degree of autonomy. You will be assigned areas of the U.S. and Canada that you will investigate and seek to penetrate, allowing you to learn about sales and how a company operates.
If you do very well with your internship and have finished college, you may be asked to remain at SimulTrans in a full-time capacity, perhaps in another part of the country. For example, SimulTrans has (or plans) offices in Silicon Valley, Los Angeles, Austin, Boston, New York City, Chicago, Dublin, Munich, and Beijing. If you succeed with this internship and are asked to remain at SimulTrans, we might ask you to work eventually at one of those offices.
