Leadership Development Conference Internship (work remotely) USA

Note: Currently recruiting for interns to begin September 1, 2011

The Consortium of High Potential Leadership Development's (COSHPALD; pronounced "kawsh-pawld") mission is to help individuals realize their full career and leadership potential. One way we do this is by offering leadership development conferences.

COSHPALD is based in the Atlanta area, but interns can be based in any geographic location. Interns will train alongside the current Executive Director and operational staff, focusing on day-to-day marketing and sales operations. This internship will prove to be an incredible experience for anyone going into the sales, marketing, or human resource fields. It will also be a fantastic resume booster, as you will be working with an executive from a Fortune 50 company.

Internships are award in 3 month increments and have the potential to be renewed.

We will be hosting different leadership conferences over the next 12 months and will have our interns focus on:
• reaching out to companies to inform them about upcoming events
• reaching out to marketing/publicity partners to seek co-promotion of our events
• building our email/contact lists in a variety of target markets
• update our social media channels, as appropriate

• Create a strategic plan for your 3 month assignment
• Complete a weekly report on progress on assignments and report out during weekly staff meeting call
• Use social media, PR, and marketing, as deemed appropriate
• Assist with corporate event planning duties
• Pre-define metrics for success of your strategic plan and analyze results at the end of assignment
• Assists with other needs, as assigned.

• Preference will be given to interns who are interested in careers in marketing, sales, public relations, social media, human resources, training/development, or event planning
• MUST NOT be fearful of cold-calling new clients and making introductions!
• Be eager to learn sales, marketing, planning, and communication skills
• Be able to intern a minimum of 15 hours a week between the hours of 9A to 7P M-F; we will work around your schedule.
• Should have a working knowledge of Facebook, LinkedIn, and/or Twitter
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated, with a solid independent work ethic
• Must have a go-getter attitude and a willingness to do what it takes to get the job done
• Must like selling and relationship building
• Must have own phone and computer
• Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Must be able to attend a 30 minute staff meeting conference call once a week
• Interns are expected to act professionally at all times. Tasks should be preformed with minimal errors. Unprofessional attitude or untrustworthiness are not tolerated.

All interns will receive a $100 per month stipend and are eligible to receive credit from their academic institution, if desired. Interns will also be eligible for a commission bonus, should any of their marketing contacts register for any of our events.

We will accept up to 4 interns per semester. Interns must be willing to commit to 2 hours per day of work during core business hours (normally no weekends).

Recent graduates are also welcome to apply.
