PT Internship Coordinator Wanted (Downtown Toronto)

Vancouver Internships Work and Travel Providers is looking for a Toronto-based internship coordinator to assist with our operations in that city. Each year we place more than 100 interns in Metro Toronto, and we are looking to grow this significantly over 2012.

The Part Time Internship Coordinator will be responsible for inspecting internship host companies, giving presentations at our partner schools, and most importantly, supporting our internship students in the city. Support services include resume prep, individual interview prep, escorting students to interviews, and conducting follow-up site visits. This person will also assist our partner agency with some orientation seminars for their clients.

You will be based in downtown Toronto, and be on your own - though with close support from Vancouver staff - until the Spring. After which, you will be joined by at least 1 new coworker.

Hours are flexible, though we are looking for someone available about 20 hours per week. These hours can move from week to week if need be, or re-arranged to meet your class schedule if you're a current teacher or student. What's most important for us, is someone with a great deal of cross cultural understanding, kindness, and patience. If you can speak French as well - that would be an enormous plus.

For more information about our company, please visit: www.vancouverinternships.ca/blog . To apply, please send a cover email and resume explaining why you are interested in the position and what your day to day availability would be. We will be accepting resumes until September 30th and conducting preliminary interviews the following week.
