Digital Intern (Warren St.)

Digital Intern 2011 - 2012

Commit for at least 3 months, 6 months is preferable.
Can be part-time for students, or full-time for a graduate seeking work experience.
The Internship is UNPAID, but expenses such as travel and lunch will be reimbursed.

This role is perfect for a graduate or soon-to-be-graduate with a keen interest in the digital world and a desire to learn about online communities and digital projects in a marketing and co-creation agency.

The ideal candidate is:

Highly interested in web based products, social media, and online communities.

Highly proficient at discussing the technical aspects of products (software architecture, product design, technology back-end, etc.).
Focused on project management and understanding the product development life-cycle.
Highly familiar with how to use the more advanced features and settings (API, SDKs,) on social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.).
A "super user" and quick learner when it comes to software and application based websites.

Some basic tasks of the role:

Able to upload, download, and convert media files (video, audio, etc.)
Desire to work with engineers and to provide clear direction on sotfware product needs and requirements (for maintenence, bug fixes, etc. as well as new product development)
Able to manage/create user accounts and passwords and keep users informed
Able to update project management software and itemising to-do list for engineers
Can easily become an expert on any website site tool, application, etc in order to teach other users, as well as write user requirements
Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (if no experience, familiarity with software builds)

Language skills:

Strong English skills, written
Strong English communication, spoken
2nd Language skill is ideal (Mandarin, French, Italian, or German very useful)

The successful candidate will need to have excellent Microsoft Office skills, a keen interest in social media, an understanding of how websites run and a basic knowledge of HTML and web development (though someone with more advanced skills is preferred)
