Impermium delivers anti-spam for the Internet's largest social web sites. We never know when the next attack is coming, so to do this at scale, we need rock-solid, lightning fast systems to classify incoming transactions and return an actionable response within miliseconds.

Think you've got what it takes to develop on a mission-critical part of the Internet's infrastructure? Join our early-stage team, and help design the future.
The ideal candidate will have experience in several of the following areas:

* 4+ years experience building distributed, client-server systems in C++ and/or Java

* Hands-on experience working on large-scale, mission critical systems.
* Ability to jump right in on multi-threaded, high-performance code.
* Buzz-word bingo:
o libevent & libev
o memcache
o boost
o memory-mapped databases like BerkeleyDB and Kyoto Cabinet
o Bus technologies like ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, & memcacheq,
o Distributed computing platforms like Hadoop, Hive, & Hbase

You'll fit right in if:

* You are a self-managed, high-energy individual able to rapidly turn conversations into prototypes and prototypes into products
* You possess exceptional communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate your engineering and product ideas with both team-members and customers
* You are confident in your ability to design and code highly-scalable, high-availability parts of the product

Impermium offers you:

* A chance to build a crucial component of Web 2.0 infrastructure, without which the social web would quickly grind to a halt

* A highly influential and visible role with direct impact on foundational product and engineering direction
* The opportunity to work alongside a highly talented, experienced founding team
* A competitive salary, benefits, and meaningful, early-stage stock options
